Founded in 1965 by a couple of mentally volatile – read poetically inclined – Celtic-Australians, first seeing light on Empire Day (no longer observed) at the South Sydney Women’s’ Hospital (since demolished) in Camperdown, an inner Sydney suburb named after a rather obscure naval battle between England and the Dutch Republic off the coast near The Hague.

I am a poet. At least that’s one thing I am sure about. I don’t look at the world as most do.

To me, there is nothing mundane about life.

Awe and tenderness, passion and fury.
