Having fun working out in the real world

Like the enthusiasm and community building but I did listen closely to how she phrased the potential benefits, something that the Simon Lewis chat with Bas Bloem so helpfully clarified.

Nothing, including exercise, can do anything in terms of the disease itself. But, as there are so many YOPD people now, it’s all the more important to find something – anything – that can potentially make your life easier.

I found it helpful when Bloem said, ‘Exercise can be a great help in  suppressing the symptoms, not the disease, just like the appropriately fine-tuned medication.’ [paraphrased]

For me, that realistic qualification is not a downer but rather very helpful because of its clarity. Let’s face it, there’s not that much that we YOPD peeps are fazed by anymore.
